Biography
John joined Abcentra in 2025 after serving as SVP of Strategic Planning and Capital Markets at TORL Biotherapeutics LLC. John was instrumental in executing early and growth financing rounds for TORL. John also co-founded Westgate Capital Partners, LLC, a private investment firm focusing on opportunistic equity and debt investments in real assets, where he participated in over $1bn of equity and debt investments across multiple platforms. Previously, he was Director of Capital Markets at Kairos Venture Investments, LLC, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on life and physical sciences, and Managing Director at Whittier Trust Company, where he was responsible for the alternative asset platform.
John received his BS from Vanderbilt University, JD from University of Cincinnati and LLM from Georgetown University Law Center
